Ensuring Uninterrupted Power for Government and Military Facilities
Enchanted Rock’s Resiliency-as-a-Service
Enchanted Rock’s Proven Solution
We offer a revolutionary, turnkey approach to backup power: electrical resiliency-as-a-service.
- Industrial-scale, long-duration power: Patented natural gas generators ensure extended operation during outages, lasting from minutes to weeks.
- Community-friendly technology: Unlike traditional diesel generators, our solution boasts ultra-low emissions, quiet operation, and a low visual impact, facilitating rapid permitting.
- Awardable Solution: Enchanted Rock has achieved “Awardable” status on the Department of Defense (DoD) Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, signifying our technology meets stringent government contracting requirements.
- Low upfront costs: Unlike diesel backup, upfront costs can be as little as 10-20% of the system cost due to our participation in energy markets when the system is not needed for backup.
- Expert O&M and 24/7 monitoring included: Enchanted Rock provides ongoing operations & maintenance (O&M) throughout the typical 15 or 20-year contract lifespan.
- Turnkey solution: Enchanted Rock designs, builds, finances, owns, operates, and maintains the entire backup generation solution.
Field-Proven Technology Delivers Real-world Results for Government Clients
Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA
Enchanted Rock partnered with a privatized utility operator and the DoD to provide long-duration electrical resiliency to this critical base. We installed over 3 MW of ultra-reliable natural gas generation in 2022, protecting the base from grid interruptions.
U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, MS
This vital research center needed a reliable backup solution. Enchanted Rock partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Entergy Mississippi to deliver a 3.2 MW resiliency microgrid. This solution has successfully protected the facility from outages since implementation, ensuring uninterrupted research activities.
City of Houston Northeast Water Purification Plant
Enchanted Rock provides 32 MW (32,000 kW) of backup power at the Northeast Water Purification Plant, resulting in impressive cost savings of over $20 million in capital expenses for the city.
“The NEWPP project will add 320 million gallons per day by 2024 to the existing water plant’s capacity,” said Ravi Kaleyatodi, P.E., Project Director, NEWPP Expansion Project, at City of Houston. “The City of Houston evaluated several companies and selected Enchanted Rock for this project based on technical requirements, performance of past projects, and competitive pricing.”
Community-Enhancing Benefits
During peak energy use, Enchanted Rock microgrids supply surplus power to the grid. This helps prevent blackouts, ensuring residents and businesses have the electricity they need. Plus, our technology operates quietly and produces low local emissions, creating a cleaner and more peaceful environment for everyone.
Our Commitment to Sustainability & Innovation
We continuously strive to improve our technology and improve our already low emissions profile.
- Net-zero emissions with RNG: Our systems offer a renewable natural gas (RNG) option for net-zero carbon emissions.
- Hydrogen fuel ready: We’ve successfully tested hydrogen blends up to 25% with no performance degradation, paving the way for a more sustainable future and future-proofing your investment.
